The mayor of East Palestine, Trent Conaway, accused President Biden of not caring about the small Ohio community during a recent appearance on Fox News.
“That was the biggest slap in the face that tells you right now, he doesn’t care about us,” Conaway said in response to a question from host Jesse Watters regarding Biden’s recent visit to Ukraine.
Conaway continued, “so…he can send every agency he wants to but I found that out this morning in one of the briefings that he was in the Ukraine giving millions of dollars away to people over there and not to us and I’m furious.”
Conaway went on, “Yeah, Presidents Day in our country. He’s.…over in Ukraine. So that tells you what kind of guy he is.”
Biden recently made a trip to Ukraine where he visited Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Biden also announced an additional $500 million in aid to Ukraine.
