Biden refuses reporter questions as he boards Air Force One | via The White House

President Joe Biden left Joint Base Andrews today to travel to Philadelphia.

Onlookers noticed that 80-year-old Biden used the smaller staircase to board Air Force One by entering through the belly of the plane. He also refused to take any questions from reporters.

“Biden once again takes no questions as he boards Air Force One using the shorter stairs on the belly of the plane,” the Republican National Committee (RNC) wrote to Twitter. WATCH:

One reporter is heard asking, “Mr. President, voters still have a negative view of the economy. What’s your response to that?”

Biden traveled to Philadelphia in the key battleground state of Pennsylvania to promote his economic agenda and gain support from organized labor. The visit to his hometown was also a chance to relax and recharge as he faces mounting political pressure in recent months.

A recent poll from NBC found that the majority of Americans (68%) believe Biden does not have the mental and physical health to serve as president.

The poll also found that a staggering 43 percent of Democrats believe Biden is not mentally and physically healthy to serve as president. This concern among Democrats has doubled since 2020. Prior to 2020, just one in five Democrats were concerned about Biden’s mental acuity.

NBC found that 89% of Republicans agree that Biden does not have the cognitive abilities to be president.

During his speech, Biden is accused of falsely claiming that he has lowered the deficit by $1.7 trillion. Fact-checkers note this reduction was due to the automatic expiration of COVID-19 relief while Biden’s policies have raised the deficit.

“Biden again falsely claims he ‘lowered the federal deficit by $1.7 trillion in the first two years,'” the RNC wrote to Twitter.

Biden visited the Philly Shipyard, which is building a ship that will support offshore wind projects. This was an opportunity for Biden to claim his economic plan is creating jobs in the clean energy sector.

The president has been meeting with union leaders in recent months as he seeks their support for his re-election campaign. The Philly Shipyard is a union shop and an opportunity for Biden to show his support for organized labor.
