Nancy Pelosi claimed that President Biden created 9 million jobs during his term in office, while Donald Trump had the worst job record of any president.

When MSNBC host Katy Tur interjected that job losses under Trump were largely due to the global pandemic, Pelosi became angry.

Biden “created 9 million jobs in his term in office. Donald Trump has the worst record of job loss of any president. So we just have to make sure people know,” Pelosi said.

“That was a global pandemic” during Trump’s presidency, Tur noted.

“He had the worst record of any president. We’ve had other concerns in our country,” Pelosi said.

“If you want to be an apologist for Donald Trump, that may be your role, but it ain’t mine,” she added.

Tur said, “I don’t think anyone can accuse me of that.”

While Pelosi argued that Democratic spending stimulated the economy, others have said it contributed to high inflation.

A fact check found Trump underestimated early job growth under his administration, but acknowledged many jobs under Biden simply regained pre-pandemic levels.

“During Biden’s first 30 months in office, just 2.1 million new jobs were created, and by contrast, during my first 30 months in office, we created a record 4.9 million new jobs,” Trump claimed.
